低頻率：超聲波空化閥值與頻率有密切關系。頻率越高，空化閥值越高，頻率低，空化閥值越低，越容易產生空化，有利于清洗作用，但易損傷腐蝕工件表面，因此對工件表面要求較高的工件不適合選擇較低的頻率，低頻超聲波清洗一般適用于大型工件表面或者污物與工件表面粘合度高的情況下使用。而頻率越低，空化越強烈，產生的噪音也相應偏大。

經濟性：從超聲波清洗效果及經濟性來考慮，一般選取頻率在20~130KHz，具體選擇頻率應做相應的實驗來確定。

超聲波功率的選擇：

超聲波功率太大，液體中空化強度就會大大增加，容易使工件表面受到空化腐蝕，給工件造成不必要的損失跟消耗，同時清洗槽底部振動板也會受到空化腐蝕影響，使清洗槽的壽命縮短。
